I’ve been ready to jump out of my skin with excitement for weeks! (When I’m not crashed on the couch exhausted.) I’m so happy to be able to finally share this news with everyone. Matt and I are thrilled and thankful to announce this new chapter in our lives.

So just for fun, I’ll go ahead and answer a few common questions:

  1. When are you due?
    February 6.
  2. Will you find out the gender?
Yes! But it will be a few weeks until that’s possible.
  3. Have you been sick?
Yes, but not terribly. So far, the exhaustion has been the hardest part. They tell you in the first trimester you’ll be tired. Biggest. Understatement. Ever. Tired doesn’t even come close. It’s more like I have mono while running a full marathon every day!
  4. Do you have a name yet?
No, but I think we’ll get more serious about figuring that out once we know the gender.
  5. Are you showing yet?
I wasn’t until my birthday. Literally, last Sunday it was like the baby showed up to say “Hey, Mom! I’m here!” Best birthday present ever.

That’s all for now, but I’m sure I will have plenty of stories in the months—and years—to come. Thank you for your continual support. Matt and I are so happy about this new, incredible blessing in our lives!

Congratulations!! I’m new here but I love babies!! We just had our 6th child a few months ago. I still remember the feelings of excitement and fear when I had our first baby. I’ve learned so much since then….oh, and I totally agree with your sentiments about the first trimester.
