Having a winning team takes more than you might think. Just because you get the best players, the best coach and top-of-the-line equipment doesn’t guarantee you will win the championship.

And the same is true in business.

Just because you have rock stars on your payroll, a leader that that comes with years of experience and the latest cutting-edge technology doesn’t guarantee that you will win in the marketplace either.

Those things are important, but they aren’t what make a winning team.

In this one-minute coaching tip, I explain the importance of focusing on the right things—the trust, communication, unified effort and common goals that bring your players together in order to get a winning result.

  1. Great advice! I wish it was as easy at that in church work to build a team (unity) who work together to build the church (evangelism) and minister to the community. We are more and more a culture of consumerism which spills over into church life. Thanks for the positive and encouraging words!
