When I was starting out and doing everything myself, it seemed like I had a spotlight shining on all of my weaknesses.

I had trouble keeping records because I am not naturally organized. I struggled with setting processes and procedures because I would rather focus on the creative aspect of things. And I made errors in my accounting because details don’t really fall into my skill set.

As I continued to try to figure everything out as I went, I quickly became overwhelmed by everything I wasn’t good at. I knew the problem with my business was me, and for a long time, that’s what I focused on.

After a while, I realized that I was also the solution. And even more than that, the best part of the business was me.

The same is true for you—the best part of your business is you.

No one loves your business like you do. And no one knows your business like you do. It’s your passion that makes your success possible. But far too many people spend years focusing on their inadequacies rather than their strengths, like I did.

You can always find help for your weaknesses, so stop fixating on your failures and instead start concentrating on your strengths. Focus on what you’re good at and what you bring to the table.

Remember why you started and why this business is important. Focus on the goals you’ve already accomplished and areas that are working well. Then watch what happens.

You’ll really see your business take off when you decide to embrace this truth: The best part of your business is you.

Wow! This is right where I am at the moment. Thank you for the reminder to refocus my energy to what I can fix and accomplish, rather than where I’m weaker. Love your inspiration Christy!
