Ep 31: Branding the Look and Tone of Your Business

October 03, 2017 - 01:02:48

Branding is so much more than colors, fonts and pretty pictures—it’s about creating an identity. When you make a purchase, whether you realize it or not, you’re choosing that brand over another because you feel it represents you. So you may recall in Episode 2 of the podcast, we talked about the look, tone and feel of your brand. But in this episode, I want to take a deeper dive on the look and tone, so that when you’re audience interacts with your business, they know it’s for them!

One of my absolute favorites—best-selling author and CEO of Storybrand—Donald Miller, is back! He’ll unpack his Storybrand concept for us, and y’all, this is a powerful way to grow your customers and your profits. If you’re dreaming up your brand right now or your existing brand isn’t connecting, you need to hear this interview.

Plus, I’ll answer your business questions from Business Boutique events!

Love your Podcast. I’ve been a photographer for about 5 years now. I’m struggling with the most basic concept of “what problem do I solve”.

I understand that people need a wedding photographer, but when I contemplate how to leverage that in my marketing, it seems redundant to say “you’re a bride who needs photos and I’m a photographer… shazam.” Haha.

    Thanks a million,

I enjoy your podcasts and in particular, I really appreciated episode #31 as I’m currently going through the process of branding my business. Do you happen to have anyone you would recommend I utilize for logo design and branding all my print materials and internet/social media presence so that I have a consistent look across the board? I’ve researched a few different options, and the prices seem to fluctuate wildly. I can use to have a logo designed pretty inexpensively, and I’ve found design firms that will design a logo for thousands of dollars. I also found a sign company that runs a side operation of design work that is more moderately priced. I only want to go through this process once, so I want to nail it, but am unsure of who to hire??

I’m going through this process as well and have heard about from several podcasts. Not sure if they’re good but their price is in the mid range (a few hundreds).
